Alva Bernadine is a British photographer who has worked mainly in the editorial field for the last 26 years. Alva tells us, “My work is unconventional, sometimes surreal and is very singular in style. It ranges from a classic use of perspective to experimental work using a sound-activated switch to capture action pictures of women’s arses being spanked. There is always an ‘event’ in my pictures, there is always a strange , surreal or quirky happening. My pictures always begin with an unconventional idea. The colours are saturated and they are always taken on location as I rarely use studios.”
BOOK #THREE by Brand Nu is the highly anticipated eclectic collection of commercial and experimental work of Radim Malinic. Book #THREE is a visual tour of the use of creative re-touching, vector illustration and art direction to inspire and transform everything from leading world brands to inanimate objects.
David Watson from Trebleseven emailed us over his Soccer Aid World Cup poster. Check it out over on Creative Review. David says, “I’ve created the poster to support Soccer Aid,” Watson tells us. The idea is simple: sales of the A1 double sided poster raises money for Soccer Aid - a British charity event which raises money for UNICEF.” The front side of the poster (below) lists all the groups, A-H so you can clearly see which countries are in which group. A calendar runs down the right hand side listing chronologically all the matches to be played in the tournament. The reverse of the poster (below) functions as a bold World Cup calendar - showing clearly what games are being played on each day.
Love this poster from Sam Ratcliffe, a soon-to-be graduate from the University of Cumbria.
